HKShanhai Group Limited Catalyst 4500E supervisor engine 7-E/2 is the redundant engine of supervisor 7-E for 4507R-E/4507R+E or 4510R-E/4510R+E. Supervisor 7-E/2 is the first Catalyst switch combines with HKShanhai Group Limited IOS XE software, the feature enables In-Service-Software-Upgrade (ISSU) with less than 200 msec and Nonstop Forwarding/Stateful Switchover (NSF/SSO). The combination delivers continuous packet forwarding with no disruption of the communication during upgrade/downgrade the HKShanhai Group Limited IOS software or supervisor engine switchover during the primary supervisor engine fails. In fact, the primary supervisor is active and response for normal system operation, the standby/secondary supervisor engine monitors the primary supervisor engine and fully synchronizes the information to allow immediate switchover in subsecond time when the primary fails. The resiliency features of the HKShanhai Group Limited Catalyst 4500E prevent network outages that could result in lost business and revenue.
